Pair of koalas enter nature reserve near Nadiya village to rest after a rough crossing of the Ganga river by the government

Wildlife authorities have said that only one of 12 pairs of koalas found washed up in the river on Monday has been found to be alive.

Rampant poaching has gripped India since the 1990s and with the river reaching its capacity of 200-250 million cubic metres, the situation in the country is on the rise.

Experts suggest that the high levels of illegal poaching and destruction of wildlife are because of the growing population of wild koalas in the Indian subcontinent. The wild population of them is estimated at around 16 million.

A conservation officer for the country's central government said that with the current poaching rate, the chances of a recovery for koalas are high.

'Koalas are in an especially precarious situation across India because of their lack of protection and conservation.

'We have seen that wildlife protection and control are far from being adequate and are failing koalas. It is only by doing a lot of hard work that we can hope to restore wild koalas to some extent in their natural habitat in the Indian subcontinent.

Blueberry growers seek new markets to avert severe drought

A man drives a truck carrying fresh strawberries on their way back to their farm. A tractor driver stands by on the farm as he removes them from the truck.

By Eric Wolff

Editor

A crop like strawberries can't be grown on farms because they're so sensitive to water, pesticides and pesticides that can kill healthy plants and kill crops if left untreated. But they grow even better when they're grown on a ranch.

And these days with the rising demand for strawberries at a time when prices have soared, farmers are looking for new markets to avoid the severe drought that's killing them. So far they've found it.

Over the past year or so, farm production in Utah has increased from about 100,000 head a year to more than 300,000, said Chris Anderson, an irrigation specialist for Utah Agriculture and Consumer Services.

The amount of rain that fell during the spring and summer months in 2013 has increased the average amount of rain the state would need over the next 40 years to keep the state's farm fields from dry, according to a report by the agricultural marketing division of the U.S. Department of Agriculture and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

Even without the drought, it's not hard to imagine that a lot more water would need to be used on farmland to maintain the average amount of water in the state's rivers. Those waterways would reach a maximum amount of water that could be absorbed and used without leaving any toxic residue.

The increase in water use on farms hasn't just been water use. Anderson said that by the year 2020, the amount of water use would reach a number that would represent half of the state's annual water allocation.

A 2015 article in the Deseret News showed that, since 2003, the population density of farms in Utah has increased from about 2,500 people to between 7,000 and 10,000 people, and the amount of water used from agriculture has increased between 4 and 11 percent each year.

"Farmers need more and more water to get that much growth," Anderson said. "It's a question of demand and supply."

In the latest state of their drought

According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, one-third of U.S. counties have "severe" drought conditions. That means they are experiencing water shortages more severe than a county experiencing heavy rain this year or would experience during a major event such as a drought.

The Drought Monitor from the USDA, which is a joint project of the USDA and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, shows severe drought conditions that require state assistance to survive, including extreme drought, with or without crop yields.

Training cut backs to make room for Pumphrey's release

Dolphins safety Ndamukong Suh is no stranger to coming off injured reserve. Suh played in just eight of the teams last 10 games due to an abdominal injury, but he finished with the second-highest targets (38) and receiving yardage (867) over that span. He had a season high 52 targets on eight targets for 64 catches (16.7) and caught three more passes for 29 yards (8.4) in the team's last game.

The Patriots are expected to open up their roster at No. 30 because of the injuries. The Dolphins are in the market for a middle linebacker from the Patriots, and it seems likely they'll sign their first-round pick in the second round.

Khalil Mack should be healthy this week

Mack's last game as a Patriot was Week 11, when he was limited in practice due to a hamstring injury. Mack had a solid game in Week 16, and he should be in shape to go against the Bears.

DeAngelo Williams returned from injury

DeAngelo Williams will begin his five-game suspension for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy immediately, according to NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport. It seems doubtful that the Dolphins will use a three-game suspension on Williams.

Defensive end Olivier Vernon (ankle) remains out and the Dolphins did not announce any new injury updates today. However, veteran defensive end David Bruton, who has played on the opposite side of both sides of the ball, practiced. He was listed as questionable with a right knee injury and expected to be limited in practice.

Pumphrey is coming off his best game of the season. Pumphrey finished with four sacks in the second half and added a pick to his name in the final four minutes when he deflected a pass from Jay Cutler.

This is likely to be a battle of the top safeties. With Suh dealing with a back injury and the defense missing its top two cornerbacks, Miami has to address a need in the secondary. The Dolphins haven't played in three weeks since they hosted the Packers.

The police commissioner rejects a finding in an independent report published on Monday. The investigation also found that while two police officers admitted to having made comments about killing, he does not believe they acted on those comments, leaving the investigation open.

A month earlier, three more officers were arrested, accused of having raped two teenage girls. An arrest warrant for the officers has never been issued.

After a police union investigation last year, commissioner Bernard Hogan-Howe asked why the women were so badly mistreated and why they were not arrested.

The union's report, released on Monday, found that a police report filed by one of the officers about the January 2012 incident included "an inflammatory allegation of racism" against two teenage girls and "indicated a bias against blacks and African-Americans".

The report found the woman's report had been "misused". The woman was said to have "misconstrued the nature of comments made by the complainant and failed to identify when the comments were made", the union said.

It also found that the police, while on patrol, "had seen the complainant approach two black women from the South African Police Service's African Community Support Unit". The police chief's office had earlier confirmed they had recorded an incident involving two African men, who did not want to be named, who were the alleged victims of the two young women, but it did not mention the incident involving the young white girls.

'Racist' comments

Two years after the incident, on 9 November 2012, the woman gave evidence to the commission, and said that three police officers said she had "gone around, [tried to] grab black women's boobs and pull them back and told her to push them away".

The chief constable of Gloucester told the commission he had told her that she had not caused the injuries, that police should not "give her a fine". The commission's legal secretary, Alison Leven, said the police chief and the chief constable for Gloucester had not previously told her that the comments had been said, adding that the force was "truly sorry" for "blatantly racist" comments made.

The police union president, Richard Asmussen, had told the commission the police chief had instructed officers to stop using language with such racist overtones, but had not been clear on which officers were responsible. He said the statements were taken out of context. "The chief constable has been in office for a long time, and he has had a job of policing and dealing with issues related to race and social issues," he said.

According to a summary of the commission's findings released on Monday, at the request of the chief constable, the force removed the officers from the force in December 2013.

Verve to expand albany wind farm.

Albany may be eligible for wind farm development — or even for the first wind farm in the United States — based on state and federal regulations that require permits, local officials say.

For years, the state has granted exceptions to the requirement to develop wind farms. State officials, however, say the department's proposed rules make those exemptions meaningless.

Wind developers in the state are planning to sue the state, arguing the rules can't allow them to develop the largest commercial wind farm on the East Coast.

"You're setting back the development of the U.S. economy," said John McRae, executive director of the Albany-based Community Wind Energy and Renewable Energy Association, an industry trade group. "We think that this is a huge blow."

State officials, though, see other benefits: they say wind turbines can be installed in locations with low energy costs, and they can reduce or even eliminate traffic congestion.

The first two turbines planned under the rules would be constructed at two small sites: The Alton Park site at the eastern end of the village on the western side, and the site off of Route 34 east of Albany.

Each site is less than 1.6 acres, about a half-mile apart, and would be about the size of a parking garage.

Albany officials hope to break ground in 2019 on the first two turbines, at a cost of about $2 million.

On the other side of the state, a large wind farm, the largest of its kind in the country, is under construction near the town of Albany.

For years, a small area west of town has been home to a wind farm development.

The federal Environmental Protection Agency in 2009 required states and local governments to develop about 1 megawatt of large-scale wind power in a proposed wind farm — or two megawatts, the equivalent of the entire national power grid — to be built.

That's a bit less than the planned first two turbines, but some industry officials said state officials need to get a bit more creative.

"What we're really encouraging is they're starting from a much smaller footprint," said Ron Hagen, vice president of regional planning for the American Wind Energy Association in Alabama. "If we can take care of a bit more of it for small communities here, then it's definitely a good thing."

Cooma hospital in good shape mp3

http://www.mp3upload.com/user/lgbt6qx

In November 2010, COO of New England United Methodist Hospital Robert L. Gresham was quoted as saying, "When one goes to an ER [emergency department], it's really just for pain.... We should treat all life-threatening trauma in our patients.... We can provide an optimal life for everyone in our patient's lives."

He did not indicate that the hospital will implement the controversial strategy.

"We are not going to implement [such a policy], but in the meantime, I am pleased to report that our emergency department has been doing a tremendous job in managing the trauma to our patients. The care we provide is the best in the nation and our patients have been safe," said Dr. Gresham.

Dr. Gresham also wrote in the November 10 column that "we do take calls for referrals for non-life-threatening cases. We have not considered a policy based solely on the frequency with which a patient can be referred because we don't want to discriminate against anyone because of that call."

If you are interested in this new plan to treat non-life-threatening trauma in your patients, please read all about the details of this policy at the New England United Methodist Hospital website.

Dr. Harnish and Dr. L.G. were in the News & Observer newspaper on Dec. 9 and Dec. 10. On Dec. 10, Gresham said the hospital has "successfully performed the procedure on 1,350 cases" and that "we expect to be able to perform the procedure on another 450 cases within the next 3-4 months."

A year ago, Gresham's own hospital was cited in the New York Times.

A December 4, 2008 column in the Providence Journal said Dr. Harnish "is an expert in trauma care, particularly to those who survive traumatic injuries."

In the same newspaper story, he says, "A hospital may be reluctant to consider this method because the patient may have chronic pain. With this strategy, the patient is kept alive without pain relief, and it is not a treatment that should be used often for non-injury patients, such as minor injuries to the abdomen, upper back or neck."

Two times, C.A.D.L. advocates say, the department tried to find alternative methods of dealing with patients with a high incidence of serious medical problems with a lower mortality rate than those with non-life-threatening injuries, without success.

In 2012, then-doctor Alan R. Shook, MD, wrote the following article for the Times Union on Sept. 13

Sa closure to hit 80 jetstar staff after emergency response is sent out

'Not just a case of being stranded' - Minister for Communications David Stanton

A large plume of smog has left Ireland among some of the worst affected countries and countries around the world for ozone depletion, with the health risks seen highest in people who live in areas with an extensive network of air quality monitors.

Environment Minister Charlie Flanagan confirmed at 7pm that a large cloud had been detected in central Dublin.

His office said officials had sent a crew to the area on Saturday night, after reports of high levels of fine particulate matter, which is linked to poor lung function and air pollution, emanating from the north west of Ireland.

Fine particulate matter can cause heart attacks and other respiratory problems and levels have been recorded at one of the worst places, in Ballybofey, on the north of Ireland.

The ministry said its emergency team had deployed the first plane to examine the site, and expected to have a team in the air in another 15 to 20 minutes.

The aircraft carried monitoring equipment which would be used to assess health risk and conduct further research. The crew said they were waiting to receive more information.

Officials have identified the area as one of the areas where smog can affect all Irish people.

The Health Department and public health authorities from Northern Ireland, with assistance from health centres in Dublin, said that in the past nine days, there have been five major incidents of severe acute respiratory illness.

In total, four people were admitted to hospital with chest and lung problems, eight people were diagnosed with heart disease, one with asthma and 16 with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

They include a man who suffered a seizure and heart problems for several days following the heavy smog, while in a car accident involving a car full of elderly residents in the area. Two people were taken to hospital for hospital treatment for respiratory problems. The man who is believed to have been among those treated was later discharged.

An Air France flight in the same area on Saturday evening was due to land in France before taking off, with a report that severe smog was in the air at some points during flight, which followed on from the announcement that the Dublin airport could be closed for the duration of the night due to ozone levels reaching dangerous levels.

Mr Flanagan said there had been no reports of serious air quality problems, but he told the Dáil in the afternoon that those who are most affected could expect reduced air quality for at least 30 days while the health services work to assess the impact of the pollution and determine what action needs to be taken.

The Air Ireland management team also noted that a flight between Dublin and New Yor

Pink diamonds are a grape growers best friend to the grapes, but they are also a thorn in your side. This diamond is the perfect way to make sure no one gets their hands on one of these lovely gems! This diamond will definitely make your friends, family and clients feel special for years to come.

Fairy Tale Diamond

This crystal will make you feel at ease and happy all night! While this gem may not be much for display, it is a beautiful gem for all sorts of special occasions, such as weddings, birthdays, birthdays parties and Christmas! This diamond will make guests and family look amazing and have the happiest day of their lives!

Diamonds are a very versatile substance, often worn in combination with other items to create various patterns, designs, gems, etc. When selecting the perfect stone for the perfect wedding or engagement ring you have to know what you are buying. All of the top jewelers out there offer diamonds that include the perfect number and shape. I believe there is a huge variety for men and women, though many people prefer the smaller diamond sizes, these diamonds are very large for the price!

Gemstones are usually made with a special blend of minerals that add some beautiful beauty to the stone's appearance. This diamond has a nice, golden color, but its shape is a little different. It has a slightly rounded, domed shape. Its color is a nice shade of red! A gemstone of the right shade, you can also opt for a clear, clear diamond that has a bit more green and gold in it.

Diamonds can be polished to give you a sparkling, silver effect, and they are also an excellent addition to any outfit and dress. These gems can also be layered. If you want the perfect ring for your future partners, choose a good color like a stone with pink or blue accents. Or, you can take the pink diamond and wear it like a diamond. It's up to you and see what suits your own personal style.

Another type of gemstone known as turquoise is very popular, but I do not like the name turquoise when applied to stones. It is actually more suitable for silver stones.

Dope chief pound slams white house and claims there's no connection

CLOSE At a news conference Friday, Donald Trump said that "if you're a Democrat, don't believe anything you hear about this president." Time

President Trump told reporters at the White House that there "was not anything to discuss."

The president also said there was "no connection" to any investigation into ties between his campaign team and Russia.

"I think we need to find out as soon as we can if there's any connection," Trump said.

The FBI has confirmed it's investigating possible collusion between Donald Trump campaign associates and Russia's government, according to a report in the Washington Post.

The probe is led by former FBI Director James Comey, who in July said he was sending memos to his former boss, President Trump, as part of a routine investigation into how the White House and the national security apparatus handled Russia.

More: FBI director, Comey, Trump say no evidence of collusion

Trump, for his part, said the issue was not related to any of his campaign's links to Russia.

"I was very honored to have the honor to have met with Director Comey and General Kelly. It was one of the greatest honors of my life to meet with them. He's one of the great minds, and I like to think of him as a guy that's really going to do his job very well," the president told reporters at the White House.

Comey told lawmakers in January there had been no coordination or coordination between Trump's 2016 campaign and the Russian government, and he said he hoped there would never be.

The president of the United States on Wednesday criticized the FBI director.

"At the end of the day what's going on is not the FBI," Trump said. "What's going on is the Democrats in Congress that let this happen. We must find out what really happened."

Tharwa parents say school transition has been a cause for concern for their son. They say he is a troubled kid who could lose his scholarship.

"I have a feeling that he'll get into other types of trouble," said Tasha Sheri Sherif. "The family has asked for a change of address so that no one can get in touch with him."

In another incident, a 12-year-old student told officials his mother had changed his address because her daughter hadn't come to school, which made him miss a trip to a basketball game. His mother told officials he was the one who said "That's right, you're the one who's changing my name because I'm having a problem."

She told the school board members her daughter had changed the name on his application because she didn't want to get in trouble for missing an important date with him.

Kaitlin McElwee, principal at St. Mary's Regional School in West Palm Beach, said the change of school was in response to a student's concerns about the safety of the student.

Kaitlin McElwee said she can confirm the school did send a change of address request to her last month. Her son, now 16 years old, is still a St. Mary's student because of that request. McElwee said her son was upset and upset.

School officials told McElwee that his name should be changed at school and she wouldn't have to notify him in advance of his identity being changed.

While her district hasn't decided how to implement the change, McElwee said she has discussed it with school personnel. She also discussed it with the department of children and family services and the Florida Commission on Human Rights.

Kaitlin McElwee said the issue has come up for her husband's family four times since January. All of the family's calls to McElwee's phone have been answered by "we're sorry" voicemail.

"It's a very personal thing between each family member, but there is just nothing I can do to help them," said McElwee, who is black. "If anyone had called back in and said, 'You're changing my name, I want you to let me know, I really need your help,' there would have been a hearing. But my children wouldn't have heard from you, and now they can't."

For her part, Sherif said her boy has expressed remorse, has admitted problems, and said he wants to help his school stay on track.

"I would much rather talk to him, rather than telling the entire world that he was wrong," said Sherif. "There is nothing that can fix anything.

Accc rejects egg corporations definition of free enterprise as'monopoly'

As with any industry, egg production requires an intensive environment and extensive training and maintenance.

In 2010, the Australian Food Standards Agency (AFSAA) declared that 'a product is free enterprise when it requires:

'1. The right to take or deny payment for supply, protection or management services; or

'2. The right to act directly, but not by reference to a shareholder or officer (independent of third parties').'

It therefore considered that the following requirements are sufficient for egg production to be considered to be 'a form of enterprise'.

One example of a free enterprise project is the production of honey. Honey is produced by insects in small groups and requires a large variety of supplies, facilities, labour and workers. The honeybee is the only other member of a flock that is not free to leave the hive at any time, except to mate or raise the young.

There are four major types of agricultural products that contain honey:

Honey (from pollens; the main component of many seeds)

Seeds

Eggs

Whole egg whites

These are all made of a blend of protein, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals and trace elements.

Free enterprise may also include:

Bartering of shares or rights to share in the supply of these products. Bidding in favour of a product in exchange for rights to a product.

The definition of 'a form of enterprise' may be more complicated, but many definitions suggest that it includes some combination of these. The following is a guide to a few.

Free-enterprise agreements

There are currently several free-enterprise agreements, the most recent of which is currently in effect (in Australia) between a number of food and beverage companies and a variety of Australian retailers.

Although it is not required for companies to be 'free enterprise', companies participating in the agreements provide a number of important services to producers and consumers.

Many of these agreements require that producers and their suppliers be free to communicate (and trade) with the other members of the agreement and to make products available to consumers. These include free distribution of products, free access to market and price support, free advertising and distribution (including distribution of products over the internet), free support of research and development for suppliers and of research and education for customers.

The major differences in the agreements are that:

the retailers are not required to accept an exclusive offer in exchange for goods (free-and-fair). Many free-enterprise agreements require a consumer to be free to make a choice as to whether to purchase from a particular company or organisation, and these are generally based o

Pace farm egg company fined for polluting Chesapeake Bay

Pace Farms Inc. and one of its regional partners, a small Delaware operation called Cottage Enterprises Inc., could lose up to $25,000 a day in fines under the Clean Water Act under a court ruling released Wednesday.

U.S. District Judge Michael Margo said the fines represent a significant cost to the industry, which has been the target of environmental-impact reviews of its polluting products for decades.

"There's no question, it's going to be a costly lawsuit," said John Stoffel, a lead attorney for the environmental watchdog group Clean Water Action.

The case, brought against the state of Delaware and two partners by the Center for Biological Diversity in 2009, involved a wastewater treatment plant in West Sussex, N.J., where some of Cottage's farms may have discharged sewage and chemicals in the waterways, according to the complaint.

The lawsuit said the water contained more than 10,000 chemicals linked to birth defects and cancer caused by methylmercury, a mercury-based neurotoxin.

Pace spokesman Robert Vassallo said the company is taking steps to comply with the Clean Water Act. While the company is still under litigation, he said it is now doing research on the source of its wastewater, its treatment, waste-disposal plans, and its water quality plans, and will decide if additional measures need to be adopted.

The case will take on added urgency if a federal judge rules last week that the environmental impact statement used in assessing the company's water quality tests for Cottage's discharge of sewage into the bay must be improved.

The statement, issued in July 2011, indicated the company did not receive adequate data on its water quality because it did not have a certified sampling facility.

The statement also noted a potential impact on an area about 40 miles north of Cottage's facilities on the east side of the bay, which is about three times the size of the Delaware River.

Vassallo said the company is now working with government agencies in Delaware and other states to obtain the test data it seeks. But, he added, "we are not making any commitments at this point."

Stoffel said it's easy for industry to avoid environmental tests because they take three to five years to prepare. The time it would take to comply would cost the industry another $30 million a year, he said. The cost of monitoring Cottage's discharge is estimated at between $10 and $15 million a year, he said.

"In all likelihood, the environmental-impact statement is going to be the only thing that actually puts a dent in it," said Paul Fassone, an attorney for the environmenta

Ses worker killed in fire truck accident that killed his wife and child

The truck had lost control and rolled over a grassy area along a highway at a heavy traffic area on a busy highway, causing the truck to lose traction, the NTSB said in its report. The vehicle was not moving when the accident occurred, NTSB officials said.

Ses had been a Ses employee for five years, was a captain and had more than 400 driver's license photos. He was a first responder for fire department, police, medical and sanitation services, and was a certified EMT. The driver was in a serious but stable condition at the scene and police and EMTs were on the scene, the NTSB said.

Investigators have determined that the truck's front left tire burst into flames as it was traveling at 40 mph when it struck the tree at around 10:20 a.m., according to the NTSB report. It was the third crash in Ses since December 2010.

The driver was not injured in that crash, and the accident happened at a very fast clip. Ses did not monitor the speed of the driver and did not take necessary safety precautions to prevent it, according to NTSB investigators.

Investigators conducted a traffic investigation into the truck's speed, and the accident occurred in the direction of the intersection of South Lincoln Avenue and S. Lincoln Road, about a five-minute drive south of the intersection of Lincoln Avenue and South Elmore Avenue, said Richard W. Foy, a spokesman for the NTSB.

The fire at the tree took place after Ses personnel entered a controlled burn and extinguished the fire, NTSB investigators said.

About 40 minutes after the fire began, investigators stopped at a second house where the fire had grown out of control, officials said. An NRPFB investigator went down to the house where investigators found that the house is registered to Ses and a fire official had entered the house there several minutes earlier.

The NRPFB investigation revealed that in addition to smoke in Ses vehicles, other fire sources were in operation in the vehicle, including a portable fuel source. The NRPFB investigation revealed that in addition to smoke in Ses vehicles, other fire sources were in operation in the vehicle, including a portable fuel source.

Because the NRPFB investigation revealed that in addition to smoke in Ses vehicles, other fire sources were in operation in the vehicle, the NRPFAB received and opened an investigation into the accident. The investigation showed that the accident was caused by excessive speed and excessive engine noise caused by high vehicle speed that impaired emergency response ability, and the NTSB investigation also showed that the fire's cause could have been caused by excessive fuel use by the engine or by improper maintenanc
